Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD or equivalent degree.
• Board-certified in Anatomic Pathology (AP) or AP/CP by the American Board of Pathology.
• Eligible to obtain an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Pennsylvania.
• Rank limited to Associate or Full Professor in non-tenure clinician educator track.
• Prior physician leadership or administrative experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, academic, and operational leadership for the Division of Anatomic Pathology and oversee high-quality diagnostic services.
• Maintain excellence in clinical practice with oversight of quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and laboratory operations per CLIA and CAP standards.
• Lead development and implementation of innovative Anatomic Pathology programs, technologies, and initiatives aligned with institutional priorities.
• Serve on the Executive Pathology Committee to coordinate and oversee Anatomic Pathology services across UPenn Health System.
• Advance the institution's research and academic mission and contribute as a research collaborator or leader of clinically oriented programs.
• Champion faculty scholarship and translational/clinical research, foster interdisciplinary collaborations, support grant development, and maintain a nationally recognized scholarly portfolio.
