Qualifications

• Must have proven success managing full-cycle workers' compensation claims.
• Ability to defend reserve strategies and guide complex files to resolution.
• Knowledge of Hawaii WC statutes, timelines, and procedures.
• Strong documentation showing rationale, strategy, and next steps.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of ~90–100 indemnity claims and drive timely resolution.
• Conduct investigations, establish reserves within 48 hours, document strategies.
• Manage medical treatment plans using evidence-based guidelines and coordinate return-to-work.
• Ensure compliance with Hawaii workers' compensation laws and deadlines; maintain audit-ready files.
• Prepare for and represent employer/carrier at hearings before Hawaii DLIR.
• Communicate with employers, injured workers, attorneys, and medical providers.
