Job summary

VTG Defense is seeking a high-energy Talent Acquisition Coordinator for our Chantilly offices to drive full-cycle recruitment. You will partner with hiring managers, craft job postings, source candidates, conduct pre-interview strategy, and extend offers while ensuring timely background checks.

The role emphasizes diverse sourcing, effective communication, and robust use of ATS systems to maintain interview records and recruitment metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in government contracting industry is highly preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
• Well-developed assessment, negotiation, collaboration, and consultation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides high level customer service to internal and external customers and expedites processes.
• Supports sourcing methods and strategies to attract quality talent and align with affirmative action plans.
• Creates compliant job postings and ensures timely posting.
• Conducts pre-interview strategy meetings with hiring managers to define interview process.
• Proactively sources candidates via internet, job boards, referrals, and networks.
• Consults with Hiring Managers to determine terms of offers and negotiates offers.
• Initiates background checks and ensures completion within required timeframe.
• Maintains candidate records in ATS and tracks interview progress.
• Participates in events such as job fairs and college relations to support recruitment goals.
• Builds and maintains networks to meet current and upcoming staffing needs.
• Provides information to candidates and program managers throughout the process.
