Job summary

Burger King is seeking a Staff Accountant to handle full-cycle accounting for multiple stores and related entities. You will manage AP, journal entries, accruals, and monthly financial reporting, with payroll backup responsibilities and emphasis on accuracy and integrity.

The role requires strong Excel/Word skills and familiarity with SAGE/MAS, plus potential payroll experience. Restaurant industry experience is a plus and a supportive team environment is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business/Financial area preferred, or 4 plus years related business experience.
• Must be PC proficient with a strong experience in Microsoft Excel and Word (SAGE/MAS experience a plus).
• Previous experience in the restaurant industry a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger accounting records and prepare monthly financials for review.
• Perform accounts payable, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and month-end analysis.
• Assist in cash reconciliations and reporting to ensure financial integrity.
• Support outside accounting firm for year-end audit and tax planning as required.
• Assist in start-up activities for new entities and allocation to GL accounts.
