Simon & Schuster is seeking a Full Case Induction Associate to join our distribution team. You will load cartons onto the induction line, apply labels correctly, and move pallets using reach truck and pallet jack in a fast-paced warehouse.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and timely completion of tasks, with mandatory overtime and a strong focus on teamwork and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and stand for the shift.
• Ability to safely operate reach truck and pallet jack.
• Precise follow-through on work instructions and labeling.
• Good communication with coworkers and supervisors.
• Flexible to overtime and varying workload.

Responsibilities

• Safely load cartons onto the full case induction line to meet daily production requirements.
• Accurately apply labels to cartons matching work numbers.
• Operate a reach truck to move pallets to induction rollers.
• Use a pallet jack to transport pallets and materials within the area.
• Utilize RF scanner to support accurate processing and movement of product.
• Complete assignments accurately and on time.
• Assist with replenishment picking for urgent orders as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform end-of-shift cleanup.
• Follow all safety policies and operating procedures.
• Perform other duties to support department needs.

Simon & Schuster is seeking a Full Case Induction Associate to join our distribution team. This position supports the efficient flow of full case orders by loading cartons onto the induction line, accurately applying labels, and moving pallets and materials to meet daily production requirements. The ideal candidate is dependable, attentive to detail, and committed to working safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely load cartons onto the full case induction line to meet daily production requirements.

• Accurately apply labels to cartons, ensuring each label corresponds to the designated work number.

• Operate a reach truck to move pallets to the induction rollers.

• Use a pallet jack to transport pallets and materials within the work area.

• Use an RF scanner to support accurate processing and movement of product.

• Complete assignments accurately and on time.

• Assist with replenishment picking for urgent (ASAP) orders as needed.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleanup at the end of each shift.

• Follow all company safety policies and equipment operating procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support department needs.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Ability to repeatedly lift and move cartons weighing up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting.

• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.

• Ability to safely operate a reach truck and pallet jack.

• Ability to use an RF scanner and follow work instructions accurately.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.

• Flexibility to adjust assignments based on workload and operational priorities.

• Availability to work overtime, including mandatory overtime, as needed.

Scheduled Work Hours

Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
