Job summary

Amber Specialty Pharmacy in Philadelphia is seeking a Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacist, process prescriptions, verify information, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations under supervision.

You will handle insurance verification, provider and patient communications, and support fulfillment operations in a dedicated office setting with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., including six paid holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current unrestricted state pharmacy technician registration/licensure and/or national or state certification as required by State Board of Pharmacy.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Understanding of insurance verification and online prescription adjudication.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-initiative and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work with all levels of internal management and staff and with outside clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Process prescriptions and manage patient and drug information in the pharmacy system.
• Verify and resolve invalid prescriptions and obtain missing information.
• Communicate with providers and insurance companies to verify coverage and approvals.
• Enter patient/doctor/insurance data accurately and support adjudication of claims.
• Support inventory management and coordination with fulfillment staff and departments.
