Job summary

Memorial Hermann Specialty Pharmacy seeks a Fulfillment Pharmacist to join our team in Katy, TX. The role provides support to our Specialty and Retail Pharmacies and requires travel to multiple sites as needed for coverage. Schedule: M-F, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

with one weekend per month. Day‑one benefits include Medical/Dental, 401K, loan repayment, PTO, and more. The Fulfillment Pharmacist ensures safe dispensing, patient-centered care, and compliance with laws.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
Current State of Texas license/permit to practice pharmacy.
2+ years experience in clinical area; specialty pharmacy experience preferred; knowledge of specialty medications; familiarity with health care reimbursement.

Responsibilities

Prepares labels and dispenses medications per prescriptions; ensures compliance with regulations.
Answers questions on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, administration and storage.
Reviews all prescriptions for accuracy and clinical appropriateness.
Maintains complete and accurate records; supervises staff and mentors trainees.
Maintains medication profiles and reviews for drug-related problems; provides consultations.
Coordinates daily operations with Director of Specialty Pharmacy and new programs.
Ensures HIPAA/HITECH compliance and safe patient care; adheres to policies within budget.
Supports department goals and acts as a resource for colleagues.
