Target in Kentucky is seeking a Fulfillment Operations Team Leader to guide a busy store fulfillment floor, coach a team of hourly associates, and ensure every guest experiences Easy, Inspiring and Friendly service.

In this role you will lead workload planning, review fulfillment metrics, develop daily plans, and drive continuous improvement while upholding food safety, accuracy and security across pickup, ship-from-store and in-store operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Retail experience preferred, but not required.
  • Lead and hold others accountable.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver guest experience commitments.
  • Ensure team understands and delivers on guest experience commitments.
  • Observe and provide feedback; hold team accountable.
  • Review fulfillment metrics and identify opportunities.
  • Demonstrate service culture and coach expectations.
  • Lead team to drive fulfillment goals and store profitability.
  • Use workload planning tools to complete scheduled workload and all orders.
  • Review fulfillment reports to identify gaps.
  • Create daily plans for the team.
  • Maintain safety and compliance; safety culture.
  • Enable efficient pickup and ship-from-store.
  • Recruit and onboard new team members.
  • Set goals around quality and timeliness; close training gaps.
  • Follow food safety guidelines and stock supplies.
  • Assist with ordering.
  • Occasionally act as store-level leader on duty.
  • Demonstrate inclusivity and equitable experiences.
  • Lead safety culture through modeling and recognizing safe behaviors.
  • Model execution of security processes.
  • Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store.
  • Lead and demonstrate onboarding and learning; close skill gaps.
  • Address store emergency and compliance needs.
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup, and Driveup.
  • All other duties based on business needs.

The starting pay range for this position per hour is $24.00 - $26.00. The full pay range for this position per hour is $24.00 - $40.80

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position.These include labor markets and in some instancesmay include education, work experience and certifications.   • Guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest-firstculture on your team

  • Retail business fundamentals,includingdepartment sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns,pricingand promotions strategies

  • Planning department(s) daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver sales goals

  • Process improvements and workload efficiency

As a Fulfillment Operations Team Leader, no two daysare ever the same, but a typical day willmost likely includethe following responsibilities:
  • Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience.

  • Ensures every team member understands, is trained, and consistentlydelivers onTarget’s guest experience commitmentsand consistent operations

  • Actively observes and provides feedback, holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest experience moments.

  • Reviews area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics toidentifyopportunities,takes action to improve, andaligns team on the right behaviors and execution, celebrates wins, drives results that deliver outcomes and elevates the guest experience.

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience. Model,trainand coach expectations to deliver the service standard.

  • Lead your team and drivefulfillment goals, understand your role in supporting sales growth and how your departments and team contribute toandimpact total store profitability, in support of yourdirectleader.

  • Utilize your workload planning tools to ensure your team completes all scheduledworkloadand all orders are fulfilled to meet the delivery, freshness,and service standards.

  • Review all fulfillment reporting toidentifygaps and develop a plan to resolve.

  • With direction from yourdirectleader,create dailyplans for your team.

  • Be an expertofoperations, accuracy,processand efficiency.

  • Enable efficient delivery to our guests by leadingpickup and ship from store workload.

  • Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team. Support yourdirectleader in their onboarding.

  • Withyourdirectleader,establishclear goalsaround quality, accuracy, and timelinessand hold team members accountable to expectations. Close any training gaps through coaching conversations.

  • Ensure the team is following food safety guidelines and selecting fresh food items for guests.

  • Ensure supplies are orderedtimelyand stocked. Partner withyourdirectleaderforordering.

  • Ifapplicable, as a key carrier, follow all safe and secure training and processes.

  • Occasionally assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities to enable the guest experience for the store during assigned shifts based on store needs

  • Demonstrateinclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches, being authentic and respectful, and creatingequitableexperiences.

  • Alwaysdemonstratea culture of ethical conduct,safetyand compliance;lead team to work in the same way and hold others accountable to this commitment.

  • Lead anddemonstratea safety culture through modeling and recognizing safe behaviors,identifyingand correcting hazards, holding team accountable to following safety expectations,assistingwith incident response, and reporting/investigating injuriestimelyand accurately.

  • Model the execution of physical security processesin order toenhance the instore security culture.

  • Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store,including ordering, storage and application as directed by best practices.

  • Lead anddemonstratea culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding and learning; help close skill gaps through development,coachingand team interactions.

  • Addressallstoreemergency and complianceneeds.

  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) andDriveup (DU) andmaintaina compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and localadult beveragelaws.

  • All other dutiesbasedon business needs.
