Job description

The Fulfillment Operations Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end execution and visibility of all distribution center activities. This is inclusive of monitoring inbound purchase order receiving, ensuring tracking/movement of inventory from arrival through receipt and put away, monitoring inventory adjustment volumes & accuracy, and ensuring outbound distribution quality meets standard. This role serves as a critical link between internal resources, transportation providers, inventory planning, third party warehouse operations, and cross-functional teams to maintain best-in-class levels of accuracy, on time execution, and operational excellence.

In addition, this position is responsible for driving special project support and completion, maintaining purchase order integrity within the ERP system, and assisting with distribution center KPI reporting, as well as root cause analysis. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, deadline-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced e-commerce fulfillment environment.

This is a hybrid position in the Louisville, KY area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and track all inbound purchase orders from supplier departure through arrival at the distribution center.
  • Proactively identify and communicate delays, shortages, shipment discrepancies, and transportation issues.
  • Coordinate with vendors, carriers, freight forwarders, warehouse operations, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely receipt of inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inbound shipment records and provide status updates to relevant teams.
  • Support inbound scheduling and receiving activities to optimize warehouse throughput.
Purchase Order & ERP Maintenance
  • Oversee the purchase order maintenance process to ensure all inbound purchase orders are accurately updated within the ERP system.
  • Validate purchase order data, expected receipt dates, quantities, and shipment status information.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, receiving records, and inventory systems.
  • Partner with Inventory Planning and Operations teams to maintain data integrity across systems.
  • Perform daily reviews of inventory adjustments and transaction activity.
  • Research inventory variances and support root cause identification and corrective actions.
  • Work closely with warehouse operations to ensure inventory accuracy and process compliance.
  • Assist with cycle count reviews and inventory reconciliation efforts as needed.
Reporting & Analytics
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of weekly and monthly distribution center KPI reporting.
  • Analyze operational performance data and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Assist with root cause analysis related to inventory discrepancies, inbound performance, receiving accuracy, and warehouse productivity metrics.
  • Develop and maintain reports using large data sets to support operational decision-making.
Special Projects & Cross-Functional Support
  • Coordinate and monitor special project requests to ensure timely execution and completion.
  • Partner with Distribution, Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, Transportation, and Customer Experience teams on operational initiatives.
  • Support continuous improvement projects focused on inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and inbound process optimization.
  • Participate in testing and implementation activities related to system enhancements and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, inventory planning support, or supply chain coordination roles.
  • Experience organizing, analyzing, and working with large volumes of data.
  • Experience managing inventory operations involving 35,000+ SKUs within a direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly motivated, collaborative self-starter with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and transportation tracking platforms.
  • Knowledge of inventory control processes, inbound logistics, and distribution center operations.
  • Experience creating dashboards, KPI reports, and operational performance analyses.
