Job summary

GLP Transit is seeking a professional truck driver to deliver petroleum products to company sites and customers. The role emphasizes safe vehicle operation, accurate paperwork, and adherence to government regulations. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load and unload petroleum products per regulations and company policy
• Safely operate trucks in compliance with laws and policies
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform safety inspections
• Check oil, water, fuel, tires, and related items daily
• Complete and transmit all paperwork according to procedures
• Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers daily

Description

This position is responsible for the proper and efficient completion of assigned duties and operation of their vehicle. Drivers are responsible for delivering petroleum products to company owned sites and customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks with petroleum products adhering to all Company and Governmental regulations.
• Safely operates trucks according to Company policies and state/federal laws.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and performs safety inspections on trucks, equipment and/or facilities as required by Company policy.
• Maintains miscellaneous service duties such as checking oil, water, fuel, tires and tank related items on a daily basis.
• Completes and transmits all paperwork in compliance with established Company procedures.
• Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers on a daily basis.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Class A or Class B CDL with clean MVR.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements REQUIRED.
• TWIC card REQUIRED
• Prior fuel truck driver experience PREFERRED.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment DOT-regulated drug screen.
• Must meet and maintain DOT and FMCSA physical and medical requirements.
• Subject to quarterly random drug screens per FMCSA/DOT regulations.
• Excellent customer service demeanor.
• Must be available to work weekends, if necessary.
