Job summary

Sanford Contractors is seeking an experienced Fuel Truck Driver (Class B CDL with Hazmat & Tanker) to fuel, lubricate, and maintain company assets across multiple job sites.

You will ensure safety by adhering to OSHA/MSHA, inspect equipment, and communicate effectively with site superintendents to coordinate availability and timelines.

Qualifications

• Active Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• OSHA and MSHA training completed.
• Fluent English (speaking and reading).

• Ability to read service manuals and interpret instructions.

Responsibilities

Fuel Truck Driver (Class B CDL with Hazmat & Tanker)

Role & Responsibilities

You will be responsible for ensuring company equipment and assets are properly fueled, lubricated, and maintained across job sites. Daily duties include keeping trucks, trailers, and tools clean and orderly, inspecting equipment to repair or replace defective items, and resolving the root causes of failures. Safety is paramount: you must lead by example, follow all OSHA and MSHA standards, fix hazards immediately, and ensure all rigging and blocking meet capacity limits.

This role requires strong communication, punctuality, and professionalism. You will participate in daily hazard briefings, accurately track your time, work toward daily production goals, and coordinate with site superintendents on equipment availability before leaving a location. Always leave work areas clean and free of trash, rags, or old parts, and provide adequate notice for time-off requests.

Qualifications & Physical Demands

Applicants must hold an active Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, as well as OSHA, MSHA, forklift, technical, and First Aid/CPR training. Candidates must speak and read English fluently, interpret service manuals, operate equipment, and adapt quickly to changing site priorities.

This position involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, standing for long periods, and working on uneven terrain or around trenches. You must be able to regularly lift 50+ lbs, bend, stoop, kneel, climb ladders, use hand tools, shovel, rake, and work extended hours as required.
