Job summary

Stefanini Group is seeking a Fuel Systems Design Release Engineer in Auburn Hills, MI to lead design release and APQP for fuel system components, including tanks and delivery modules. You will coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure production readiness and drive quality improvements.

The role requires 2-5 years of engineering experience, a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited), and familiarity with APQP, DVP&R, and PLM/CAD tools.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of engineering experience (preferred 2-3+ years).
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Experience in design release, product or component engineering (not CAD-focused).
• Experience with fuel systems: tanks, delivery modules, DEF/urea tanks; APQP processes; DVP&R exposure.

Responsibilities

• Own design release and APQP planning for fuel system components.
• Support quality improvements, value optimization and weight reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams (vehicle programs, labs, CAE, manufacturing).
• Support and drive product validation activities and related testing.
