Job summary

Walthall Oil Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, inspect, repair, and troubleshoot fuel storage tanks, fueling systems, pumps, and related equipment. You will ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations and perform routine inspections and repairs as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience, and familiarity with petroleum equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years mechanical maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with petroleum equipment, fuel systems, pumps, tanks, or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on aboveground tanks.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair fuel pumps, dispensers, valves, piping, hoses, and meters.
• Install and replace pumps, motors, filters, and related fueling system components.
• Conduct routine inspections for leaks, corrosion, equipment malfunctions, and safety hazards.
• Assist with fuel tank cleaning, maintenance, and equipment upgrades.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues associated with fueling systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and work orders.
