Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is looking for a Fuel Station Attendant to ensure smooth station operation and a welcoming customer experience. You will handle transactions, keep areas clean, restock supplies, and perform safety checks across indoor and outdoor spaces.

The role requires working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Benefits are provided to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Prior customer service or retail experience preferred
• Ability to operate cash registers and payment systems
• Basic math skills required for transactions and cash handling
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Compliance with company policies including safety, sanitation, and dress standards

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the fuel station and in-store transactions with a friendly, efficient approach
• Operate cash registers and payment systems accurately
• Keep the station clean, stocked, and ready throughout the day
• Perform safety checks, monitor fueling areas, and follow site safety procedures
• Restock merchandise and monitor supply levels during shifts
• Handle deliveries and daily upkeep of inside and outside areas
• Adapt to changing customer flow and multiple tasks during the shift

Job description

A Day in the Life:

As a Fuel Station Attendant, your day is centered around keeping the station running smoothly while creating a positive experience for customers. You're often the first point of contact as customers fuel up or stop in for quick purchases, handling transactions and answering questions while keeping interactions efficient and friendly.

Another part of the role is keeping the station clean, stocked, and ready throughout the day. You'll complete safety checks, restock supplies, and maintain the inside and outside areas so everything stays in working order. Between customer interaction, deliveries, and daily upkeep, the role always runs on a full tank, making it a good fit for someone who enjoys variety and working in a fast‑paced environment.

What you bring to the table:

• Customer Interaction Skills: Clear, friendly communication during transactions and customer assistance
• Transaction Handling: Processing purchases accurately using cash registers and payment systems
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in handling payments, inventory counts, and daily checks
• Organization & Time Management: Managing tasks such as cleaning, restocking, and monitoring station activity
• Safety Awareness: Following procedures related to fuel handling, equipment checks, and site safety
• Inventory Awareness: Restocking merchandise and monitoring supply levels throughout the shift
• Operational Awareness: Following company policies, audits, and daily station procedures
• Adaptability: Comfort handling changing customer flow and varying tasks throughout the day
• Environment Readiness: Maintaining clean indoor and outdoor areas, including restrooms and fueling spaces
• Physical Capability: Comfort with standing and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 35 lbs., and working in outdoor weather conditions
