7-Eleven Inc. seeks a Fuel Pricing Data Scientist Intern to support the development, testing, and monitoring of machine learning models driving data-driven fuel pricing decisions across our retail network. You will work with time-series data, pricing systems, and enterprise ML platforms.

The role offers hands-on experience with production-grade modeling, ML workflows, and cloud-based data platforms, under mentorship from senior data scientists and ML engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
• Coursework or hands-on experience in Python, ML/Statistics, and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Support development and testing of ML models for dynamic fuel pricing.
• Assist time-series forecasting workflows for price movement and demand.
• Perform data cleaning, feature engineering, and EDA on pricing datasets.
• Write Python and SQL code to support modeling and data pipelines in Databricks.
• Help validate model outputs via back-testing and diagnostics.
• Document models, assumptions, and experiment results.
• Collaborate with senior team on pricing experiments and monitoring.
• Present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Learn and apply emerging AI tools to support modeling workflows.
