Job summary

Albertsons Companies, based in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a Fuel Pricing Analyst to review, analyze, and input daily retail fuel prices using a 3rd‑party pricing tool. You will monitor market conditions, prepare routine and ad hoc sales reports, and support fuel replenishment activities to ensure consistent supply.

The role requires 1–2 years of retail/store operations experience, a solid understanding of geography, and a preferred bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or marketing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in retail stores/operations.
• Strong knowledge of geography and local market dynamics is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or marketing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes daily fuel prices for company’s fuel centers using Retail Fuel Pricing System.
• Enters daily fuel costs into tracking website.
• Helps optimize gross margin/sales goals following the Corporate Retail Price strategy.
• Communicates analytical data to support and solutions to meet established financial and marketing needs and goals.
• Provides guidance on retail pricing direction and expected competitor reaction and impact to sales or financial goals.
• Uses in-house replenishment application(s) to ensure uninterrupted fuel supply to company’s fuel centers.

Responsible for reviewing, analyzing and providing input/direction on daily retail fuel price for company’s fuel centers using 3rd party fuel pricing application. Will understand fuel market conditions (cost and supply) and impact conditions will have on retail prices. Will be responsible for helping prepare and distribute sales reports on routine or ad hoc basis at request of Corporate or Division Leadership. In addition, associate will learn and understand primary functions of the fuel replenishment application including dispatching, order creation and fuel invoice reconciliation.

The position will be based in Boise, Idaho.

Main Responsibilities

• Establishes daily fuel prices for company’s fuel centers using Retail Fuel Pricing System
• Enters daily fuel costs into tracking website
• Helps optimize gross margin/sales goals following the Corporate Retail Price strategy
• Communicates analytical data to support and solutions to meet established financial and marketing needs and goals
• Provides guidance of retail pricing direction and expected competitor reaction and impact to sales or financial goals
• Uses in-house replenishment application(s) to ensure un-interrupted fuel supply to company’s fuel centers
• Understands primary fuel supply contract requirements embedded in the replenishment application
• Creates dispatch orders for fuel deliveries when necessary
• Use reconciliation tool to clear/process fuel invoices on timely basis
• Communicates with fuel carriers on replenishment direction and/or issues
• Understands fuel market conditions and directions (cost direction and any supply disruption probabilities) and potential impact to Company’s fuel finances
