Overall Scope

Perform all duties necessary, under the general direction of the Supervisor/Team Leader to successfully assemble, test, and pack Idle Air Control Valves & High Voltage Switches. Duties include set-up and operation of process assembly equipment, assembling component parts according to Bill of Materials, Standard Operating Procedures and Control Plan and packing completed finish good orders. Assisting Engineering with new EPO launches and /or engineering trials. Train Level I assemblers and over checking outgoing parts for quality conformance.

Hours: 1st shift

Primary work hours are between 6:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday- Thursday. Over time as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in industrial operations.
  • Basic knowledge of computer operations such as Microsoft Office and JD Edwards.


Responsibilities And Duties

  • Responsible for set-up of assembly equipment for various bulk part numbers. Assembly of parts according to Bill of Material, Standard Operating Procedure and Control Plans.
  • Adjust assembly equipment as necessary to maintain part quality.
  • Perform in-process inspections.
  • Transport parts to various assembly stations.
  • Load and unload parts from assembly and test machines.
  • Maintain quality charts and tracking.
  • Perform work according to Standard Operating Procedures, Control Plans and Bills of Material.
  • Maintain quality of product and run at rate.
  • Follow all safety rules and work in a safe manner.
  • Segregate non-conforming products.
  • Pack completed orders to fulfill schedule requirements.
  • Communicate with Level II Operator Process Technician and Team Leader as necessary


Ergonomic Focus

  • Working at assembly table.
  • Build complete assemblies from component parts and tests.
  • Moving parts in boxes weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Standing/walking/sitting during 10-hour work shift.
