Job summary

Menzies Aviation in the United States (Baltimore) is seeking a Fuel Farm Operator to sample and test jet fuels and perform inspections and basic maintenance on fuel systems and vehicles.

You will receive/dispatch jet fuel and test products for quality control, support maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety and government standards. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and pass pre-employment testing.

Responsibilities

• Receives/dispatches jet fuel and blends (gasoline, diesel, avgas, glycol) at fuel facilities.
• Samples and tests products for quality control and performs routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
• Supports maintenance and safety reporting, ensuring compliance with standards and procedures.
• Performs inspections to prevent spills, overfills, and contamination; works outdoors in all weather.

Role Purpose

The role of the Fuel Farm Operator is to be responsible for sampling and testing products for quality control, and performing inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles.

What you will be doing:

• Receives/dispatches jet fuel, gasoline, diesel fuel, avgas and glycol via pipelines and trucks.
• Samples and tests products for quality control and performance inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles.
• Supports Quality Control Technicians with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems including related equipment on fueling vehicles.
• Performs routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government and industry standards
• Transfers product and monitors storage tanks, pipelines and related equipment to ensure that they are in good working order to prevent spills, releases, overfills and product contamination
• Conducts all work in a safe fashion by adhering to all company, customer, industry, local, state and federal safe work policies/procedures

What we are looking for:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experienceand/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver's License. Possess/maintain a valid driver’s license and other FFA Airport required identification/seals or authorizations. Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds.
• Must pass all pre-employment testing to include drug testing and a physical.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required airports and customs badges/seals.
• Work is done primarily outdoors. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions, work is
  primarily outdoors.
