Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a Fuel Farm Operator to sample and test products for quality control, and perform inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles. This role involves receiving and dispatching jet fuel, gasoline, diesel fuel, avgas and glycol via pipelines and trucks in Sanford, Alabama.

The position requires handling log entries, working a 11 PM–7 AM shift, and meeting safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license; airport badges/identifications may be required.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Must pass pre-employment drug testing.
• Flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends/holidays.
• Work is conducted outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Receives/disptaches jet fuel, gasoline, diesel fuel, avgas and glycol via pipelines and trucks.
• Samples and tests products for quality control and performs basic maintenance on facilities and fuel systems.
• Supports maintenance and inspection of fueling vehicles and related equipment.
• Conducts routine inspections to meet safety and regulatory standards.
• Maintains log entries for fuel transactions, quality control and maintenance.
• Adheres to safety policies and company procedures.

Overview

As a member of the Menzies Aviation Fuel Farm Operating Team, you will be responsible for sampling
and testing products for quality control, and performing inspections and basic maintenance on facilities,
fuel systems and fueling vehicles. Other responsibilities include receiving and dispatching jet fuel,
gasoline, diesel fuel, av gas and glycol via pipelines and fuel trucks.

Role Purpose

The role of the Fuel Farm Operator is to be responsible for sampling
and testing products for quality control, and performing inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles.

$25.00/Hr. Hours 2300 - 0700

What you will be doing:

• Receives/dispatches jet fuel, gasoline, diesel fuel, avgas and glycol via pipelines and trucks.
• Samples and tests products for quality control and performance inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles.
• Supports Quality Control Technicians with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems including related equipment on fueling vehicles.
• Performs routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government and industry standards
• Transfers product and monitors storage tanks, pipelines and related equipment to ensure that they are in good working order to prevent spills, releases, overfills and product contamination
• Conducts all work in a safe fashion by adhering to all company, customer, industry, local, state and federal safe work policies/procedures
• Makes required log entries of fuel transactions, quality control, and maintenance
• Assures adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Can meet Company's Attendance and code of conduct standards

What we are looking for:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Valid Driver's License. Possess/maintain a valid driver’s license and other FFA Airport required identification/seals or authorizations. Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds.
• Must pass all pre-employment testing to include drug testing and a physical.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required airports and customs badges/seals.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays if required.
• Work is done primarily outdoors. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions, work is primarily outdoors.
