Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a Fuel Farm Operator at Dallas, TX (DFW) for on-site work. You will sample and test fuel products, perform inspections and basic maintenance on fuel facilities and vehicles, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to follow written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to handle problems with a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Valid Driver's License and airport access IDs/authorizations; must be 18+.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds safely.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test and a physical.
  • Must obtain/maintain airport and customs badges/seals as required.
  • Willingness to work variable shifts including weekends/holidays; outdoor work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receives/ dispatches jet fuel, gasoline, diesel, avgas and glycol via pipelines and trucks.
  • Samples and tests products for quality control and performs basic maintenance on facilities and fueling vehicles.
  • Supports QC Technicians with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Performs routine inspections to meet standards and prevent spills or contamination.
  • Transfers product and monitors tanks, pipelines and equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Maintains logs of fuel transactions, quality control and maintenance.
  • Adheres to safety policies and procedures.

Role Purpose

The role of the Fuel Farm Operator is to be responsible for sampling and testing products for quality control, and performing inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles.

Location: Dallas, TX | DFW airport

Pay: $26.75/Hr.

Work type: on-site and Open to any shift

What you will be doing:

  • Receives/dispatches jet fuel, gasoline, diesel fuel, avgas and glycol via pipelines and trucks.
  • Samples and tests products for quality control and performance inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles.
  • Supports Quality Control Technicians with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems including related equipment on fueling vehicles.
  • Performs routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government and industry standards.
  • Transfers product and monitors storage tanks, pipelines and related equipment to ensure that they are in good working order to prevent spills, releases, overfills and product contamination.
  • Conducts all work in a safe fashion by adhering to all company, customer, industry, local, state and federal safe work policies/procedures.
  • Makes required log entries of fuel transactions, quality control, and maintenance.
  • Assures adherence to safety policies and procedures.
  • Can meet Company's Attendance and code of conduct standards.

What we are looking for:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Valid Driver's License. Possess/maintain a valid driver’s license and other FFA Airport required identification/seals or authorizations. Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Must pass all pre-employment testing to include drug testing and a physical.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required airports and customs badges/seals.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays if required.
  • Work is done primarily outdoors. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions, work is primarily outdoors.
