Job summary

Great Lakes Petroleum Co. is seeking a CDL driver responsible for delivering petroleum products to company sites and customers. You will load/unload, inspect and maintain trucks, and ensure accurate paperwork and regulatory compliance.

The role requires Hazmat/Tanker endorsements, TWIC or ability to obtain, and DOT medical certification. Weekend availability and commitment to safety are essential aspects of the job.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL with acceptable driving record.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are REQUIRED.
• TWIC REQUIRED or able to obtain within 30 days after hire.
• Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug testing.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA qualification standards, including Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Willingness to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
• Prior fuel, petroleum, or hazardous material transportation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks with petroleum products adhering to all Company and Government regulations.
• Safely operates trucks according to Company policies and state/federal laws.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and performs safety inspections on trucks, equipment and/or facilities as required by Company policy.
• Maintains daily checks of oil, water, fuel, tires and tank items.
• Completes and transmits all paperwork in compliance with established Company procedures.
• Communicates and coordinates with dispatchers daily.
