Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Fuel Superintendent to join our Tacoma, WA team on-site. You will oversee pre-construction coordination for fuel infrastructure projects and ensure timely, budget-conscious delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in equipment operation, blueprint reading, underground fuel piping experience, and supervisory responsibilities within construction. CDL/LIC preferred; ICC piping certification desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License/CDL required.
• 5+ years’ experience in equipment operating, working with grades and reading blueprints.
• Experience with underground fuel piping for gas stations.
• Supervisory experience in construction required.
• ICC Certification for underground/above-ground piping preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop a schedule and cost-effective plan for completion of the project.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to create pre-construction estimates and budgets.
• Lays out full-scale drawing of pipe systems and related equipment.
• Coordinate and schedule tradespeople and laborers; communicate assignments.
• Inspect work for quality and timeliness; provide progress reports.
• Obtain permits and licenses; execute contracts as per agreement.
• Monitor budget and report variances.
• Maintain records of job costs and inventory.
• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications; use saws and torches.
• Modify and maintain pipe systems and equipment.
• Follow safety guidelines and report concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
