Job summary

Smith’s Food and Drug, based in Salt Lake City and part of the Kroger family, seeks a part-time Fuel Center Associate to assist customers, pump gas, and handle cash register duties. You will maintain cleanliness, complete incident reports, and ensure safety and policy compliance in a fast-paced environment.

This role emphasizes teamwork, customer service excellence, and adherence to company safety standards, with opportunities for growth and benefits through Kroger.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Any related experience.

Responsibilities

• Model Customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
• Pump gas
• Complete daily tour and inspection
• Fill out incident and security reports
• Clean up fuel spills and complete Fuel Spill Report
• Recover displays; maintain cleanliness of department
• Perform cashier functions
• Answer telephones
• Comply with corporate policies
• Comply with all safety guidelines and standards
• Promote and follow company initiatives
• Maintain knowledge of emergency plans numbers and procedures
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
