Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company, is seeking experienced FTCE tutors to provide online 1-on-1 instruction to students nationwide. As an independent contractor, you set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and impact students’ Florida credentialing goals from home.

You’ll tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform, with pay up to $40/hour and payments issued up to twice per week. Join a supportive team with AI-assisted tools to save prep time and focus on teaching.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of FTCE examination content (GKT, Professional Education, subject area tests).
• Ability to explain Florida standards, scoring, and content domains to candidates.
• Experience adapting instruction to Florida educator certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Tutor 1-on-1 online and on-demand sessions.
• Explain concepts clearly using multiple approaches to meet learner needs.
• Coordinate with the platform and invoicing to ensure timely payments.
