FT Warehouse Associate I (Order Selector)

Pay and Benefits: After performance and safety training, and achieving 100% productivity, you will be paid a base rate of $17.32 plus production incentive and shift differential (as required). You will become eligible for 1 week of vacation after 6 months and another week after 12 months of continuous employment.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operational check of pallet jacks or forklifts according to company policy
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Select and palletize grocery, produce, meat, frozen food, and dairy orders for shipment to retail stores accurately
• Follow good sanitation practices and keep the work area clean and free of debris
• Perform any shipping and receiving task that may be assigned
• Complete all documents related to shipping and/or receiving tasks assigned

Abilities

• Capable of being trained to operate mechanized material handling equipment
• Reach, stoop, bend, and lift 80 pounds repetitively and 100 pounds occasionally
• Lift 90 lbs. floor to shoulder
• Meet production standards set by the company
• Stand for long periods of time
• Work in a -5 degree to 85+ degree Fahrenheit environment for long periods of time
• Hear a forced whisper at not less than 5 feet with or without the use of a hearing aid
• Wear a headset to support voice selection for all areas of warehouse selection
• Visual acuity of at least 20/40 (Snellen) in each eye with or without corrective lens
• Read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
• Work Sunday - Saturday

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Education or equivalent
• Certified on powered industrial equipment
• Familiarity /experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment
• Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal and problem identification/solving skills with the ability to read and write English and demonstrate basic numerical skills
• Demonstrated dedication to safety
