Job summary

Virtua Health seeks a qualified Ultrasound Technician to perform high-quality obstetrical ultrasound studies per AIUM guidelines. You will document findings, review orders, and ensure patient privacy while using Viewpoint and EPIC systems.

The role requires OB experience across all trimesters or GYN with transvaginal expertise. The position offers on-site work in Camden, NJ with comprehensive benefits; ARDMS OB-GYN certification or board eligibility is required, with certification within 12

Qualifications

• Registered ARDMS OB-GYN or board eligible and board certified within 12 months of hire.
• Formal education in an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Program with OB/MFM exposure.
• Experience in OB across all trimesters; GYN with transvaginal experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality obstetrical ultrasound studies according to protocols established by Perinatologists/AIUM.
• Demonstrate ability to recognize and document pathology identified in scans.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Ultrasound equipment and EPIC/Viewpoint software; maintain patient confidentiality.
• Prepare room for invasive procedures and assist during such procedures as needed.

Job Summary:

Performs high quality Ultrasound examinations in accordance with approved techniques and protocols. Supports Virtua Health Mission & Vision Statements and adheres to Virtua Health's Policies and Procedures.

Position Responsibilities

Consistently performs high quality obstetrical Ultrasound studies for our various patient populations according to protocols established by Perinatalogists/AIUM for high-risk maternity patients. Demonstrate ability to recognize and accurately document pathology identified in scans. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of Ultrasound and Trophon equipment. Performs a preliminary evaluation for each patient. Obtains pertinent medical history prior to exam; obtains previous examinations and reports. Reviews and verifies physician's orders.

Responds to changes in the work schedule and locations.

Demonstrates appropriate and effective use of Viewpoint and hospital-based (EPIC) computer programs and adheres to all policies and practices regarding confidentiality of all electronic communications

Prepares room as needed for invasive procedures familiar with all equipment utilized for invasive procedures Assists and scans, as needed, during invasive procedures.

Position Qualifications Required:

Required Experience:Experience preferred OB all trimesters, GYN with transvaginal a plus

Required Education: Formal education in an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Program with clinical training/experience in OB and/or MFM

Training / Certification / Licensure: Must be registered with: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography OB-GYN (ARDMS) or board eligible ARDMS OB/GYN and board certified within 12 months of hire
