Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a dining services server to courteously serve residents and guests, assist with menu order taking, and maintain dining room cleanliness. You will support beverage service and tray delivery, while adhering to confidentiality and safety policies.

Applicants should be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow simple instructions.
• Must possess ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision.
• Must be in clean designated uniform during working hours and maintain good personal hygiene.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve resident and guest meals courteously and assist with dining room setup and cleanup.
• Assist residents when placing orders from the menu and provide beverage service.
• Refill condiments and assist with tray service as needed.
• Report any broken equipment or tableware to supervisor and follow safety standards.
• Interact with residents, guests, co-workers, and supervisors in a polite, respectful manner.
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

• The Server is responsible for courteously serving resident and guest meals, and for clean-up and resetting of dining room following meal service.
• Assists residents when placing orders from the menu
• Provide beverage service (water, iced tea, juices, milk and coffee/tea)
• Refill salt/pepper/sugar bowls prior to and after each meal
• Report any broken equipment or tableware to supervisor
• Understands sit-down service and proper serving techniques
• Has a basic understanding of food preparation (salads, desserts, etc.)
• Knowledge of proper food storage and labeling techniques
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining room
• Attends required in-services and staff meetings
• Completes all other duties assigned
• Must be attentive to special needs of residents including: mobility deficits, memory impairment, etc.
• Assists with tray service
• Follows confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information
• Interacts in a polite considerate manner to residents, guests, co-workers and supervisors

Requirements

• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays
