Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a team member to enter orders, schedule work and production, supervise and train staff, receive, store, and stock items while maintaining product quality and safety standards at our West Chester location.

Responsibilities include reviewing daily schedules, managing inventory and pricing, unloading deliveries, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and organized department. This role supports store operations and customer service while upholding safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at the start of the shift; prepare PPE and required equipment.
• Enter orders, schedule work, supervise/train team members, receive, store, and stock items.
• Unload milk truck, move pallets to cooler, and unload pallets.
• Stock and restock items; adjust pricing and handle out-of-code items as needed.
• Move U-boat from receiving or freezer to aisles; restock frozen foods.
• Flatten cardboard, load onto the U-boat, and transport to the bailer.

The primary purpose of this job is to enter orders, schedule work and production, supervise and train team members, receive, store, and stock items, check dates, track and record product loss from damage and out of codes, and does all department tasks as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promptly, at the start of the shift, the team member will review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.
• Enter orders, schedule work and production, supervise and train team members, receive, store, and stock items, check dates, change pricing of items going out of code, and does all department tasks as needed.
• Unload milk truck, move pallets to cooler, and unload pallets.
• Load U-boat with stocking items, push U-boat to dairy, stock shelves with items, and remove out of code items.
• Move U-boat from receiving or from freezer to aisles, unload U-boat, open freezer door, and restock frozen food items.
• Cut or hit cardboard cartons to flaten them, load them onto U-boat, and take them to the bailer.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Team members are responsible for understanding company policy and procedures as promulgated in the policy and procedure manual and the team member handbook.
• Know MSDS information about all materials used during work.
• Must complete and follow Lockout/Tagout training.
• Must complete and follow Confined Space training.
• Must complete Right-to-Know training.
