Atlas Rehab and Healthcare at Maywood is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to deliver clean, comfortable environments for Residents across the facility. You will perform cleaning, sanitizing, and routine housekeeping tasks while maintaining infection control standards.

In this role you will operate cleaning equipment, respond to call lights, assist with admissions, and support training for new staff. The position emphasizes warmth, respect, and teamwork with Residents, families, and supervisors.

Aufgaben

• Cleans and sanitizes Resident rooms, offices, hallways and other areas inside the facility.
• Operates floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, and related housekeeping equipment.
• Cleans vents, fixtures, top of windows, and doorframes using a ladder.
• Performs terminal cleaning of rooms and prepares rooms for new occupants.
• Follows isolation procedures when cleaning isolation rooms.
• Maintains infection control and safety practices at all times.
• Reports hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, or supply issues to the supervisor.
• Maintains Residents' comfort, privacy and dignity; interact with warmth and respect.
• Responds promptly to call lights in Resident care areas.
• Assists with new admissions and readmissions by ensuring rooms are cleaned.
• Assists with training of new staff.
• Communicates effectively with Residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Attends and participates in departmental meetings and in-services.

Summary/Objective

In keeping with our organization's goal of improving the lives of the Residents we serve, the Housekeeper plays a critical role in providing superior customer service and housekeeping services to all Residents in the facility. The Housekeeper is responsible maintaining environmental and infection control standards by performing a variety of general cleaning tasks.

Essential Functions

• Cleans and sanitizes Resident rooms, offices, hallways and other areas inside the facility as well as outside and the entire property.
• Operates mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, and related housekeeping equipment
• Cleans vents, fan fixtures, top of windows, doorframes and other high areas using a ladder.
• Performs terminal cleaning procedures of Resident rooms and prepares rooms for new occupants; follows isolations procedures when cleaning isolation rooms.
• Assure that established infection control and standard precaution practices are maintained at all times. Follow established safety precautions when preforming tasks and using equipment and supplies.
• Reports all hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, and supply issues to the supervisor.
• Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of Residents/residents and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect and promotes a caring environment.
• Must answer and respond to call lights promptly and courteously when working in Resident care areas.
• Assist with new admissions, re-admissions by ensuring that rom has been cleaned and sanitized and ready for occupancy.
• Assists with training of new staff.
• Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with Residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.
