Job summary

Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle is seeking a full-time Founder's Club Host to be the first point of contact for guests, delivering exceptional service and a welcoming cocktail experience within our speakeasy setting.

As ambassador for luxury hospitality, you will manage reservations, greet guests, coordinate with the bar team, and uphold health and safety standards while providing knowledge of menu items and promotions.

Qualifications

• Ability to focus attention on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
• Must hold valid authorization to work in the USA.
• Food Handlers Card and MAST permit required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor and create a positive first impression of the restaurant.
• Manage the reservation system, take bookings, and record guest details accurately.
• Seat guests promptly, consider special requests and preferences.
• Communicate wait times, menu information, and promotions to guests.
• Maintain a clean, organized host station; keep menus and promotions up to date.
• Collaborate with the bar team to ensure smooth seating and efficient turnover.
• Address guest inquiries and resolve concerns professionally, escalating when needed.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and restaurant policies.
• Maintain knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods.

Job Description

As a host, you will be the first point of contact for our esteemed guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a warm and welcoming cocktail experience. Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, providing a positive first impression of the restaurant
• Manage the reservation system, taking guest bookings and accurately recording details
• Seat guests promptly and appropriately, considering special requests and preferences
• Communicate with guests regarding wait times, menu information, and restaurant promotions
• Maintain a clean and organized host/hostess station, ensuring menus and promotional materials are up to date
• Collaborate with the bar team to ensure smooth seating and efficient table turnover
• Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly, escalating issues when necessary
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and restaurant policies
• Maintaining knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
