Job summary

CCS Facility Services is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain and restore various flooring surfaces in commercial, industrial, and office facilities. You will perform stripping, waxing, buffing, polishing, and carpet maintenance to keep floors clean, safe, and presentable.

You will operate floor care equipment such as burnishers, buffers, scrubbers, and extractors, follow safety procedures, and contribute to overall custodian duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, dust, and clean hard surface floors.
• Strip, wax, seal, and refinish floors as needed.
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment, including burnishers, buffers, scrubbers, and extractors.
• Shampoo, spot clean, and extract carpets.
• Perform high-speed buffing and polishing of floors.
• Remove stains, scuffs, and marks from flooring surfaces.
• Clean and maintain tile, vinyl, terrazzo, concrete, and other floor types.
• Follow safety procedures when handling chemicals and equipment.
• Maintain inventory of floor care supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and equipment malfunctions.
• Ensure assigned work areas meet cleanliness and appearance standards.
• Assist with general custodial duties as required.
