Job summary

Creative Dining Services is hiring a personable Cook for Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, TN. You will prepare, cook and serve high-quality meals, ensuring proper seasoning and safety in daily operations.

Availability is Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 3:00pm, with no nights or weekends. Competitive pay with benefits including health/dental/vision, 401(k) match, PTO, and earned wage access is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years cooking experience.
• Knowledge of proper food safety, handling, storage and service techniques.
• Familiarity with batch-cooking techniques and time management to avoid over/under production.
• Follow recipes and prepare food items to preserve freshness, quality and appeal.
• Eye on safety and maintains a clean, safe work environment.
• Team attitude and support for other kitchen staff.
• HS diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.

Salary Range: $18.00 To $18.00 Hourly

Creative Dining Services is growing and looking for a friendly, knowledgeableCookto join our team at Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, TN! As the cook, this role works within the Dining Services Department to ensure that high quality, properly seasoned, nutritious food is being provided throughout the operation in a fiscally responsible and safe manner. This role will be involved in daily preparation, cooking and serving of food and menu items - this will also include cleaning and dishwashing as well as any other tasks assigned by supervisors.
