Job summary

Red River Human Services Foundation is seeking an awake overnight Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide compassionate, hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role focuses on helping residents live safely, independently, and with dignity in their homes and communities.

The DSP will assist with evening routines, promote independence, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must be an eligible driver for RRHSF
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and complete ongoing training requirements.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and a compassionate, respectful attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with evening routines, including hygiene, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation in their homes.
• Promote independence, dignity, and choice in all activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Support skill development, communication, and positive social interactions.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established procedures.
• Work collaboratively with Supervisors, Program Coordinators, families, and team members.

Job Summary
