Job summary

KARM Stores is hiring an Assistant Retail Manager in Knoxville to help lead daily store operations and deliver exceptional customer service in a mission-driven environment.

The role requires strong communication, prior retail or leadership experience, and the ability to train new team members while ensuring accurate reporting and cash handling. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available with Sundays off and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations, including register transactions, cash handling, and customer service.
• Create a welcoming, organized, and mission-driven shopping environment.
• Assist with merchandising, stocking, and maintaining sales floor standards.
• Partner with store leadership to identify priorities on the floor and respond to store needs.
• Help train and support new team members to succeed in their roles.
• Complete daily reporting, including sales reports and deposits.
• Lead by example in customer service, teamwork, dependability, and professionalism.
• Model KARM Stores’ mission and core values in daily work.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations, including register transactions, cash handling, and customer service
• Help create a welcoming, organized, and mission-driven shopping environment
• Assist with merchandising, recovery, stocking, and maintaining sales floor standards
• Partner with store leadership to identify priorities on the retail floor and respond to store needs
• Help train and support new team members so they can succeed in their roles
• Complete daily reporting accurately, including sales reports, deposits, reconciliations, and other store paperwork
• Lead by example in customer service, teamwork, dependability, and professionalism
• Help communicate and model KARM Stores’ mission and core values in daily work

Physical Requirements

This role is performed in a retail environment and may involve standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift.

• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods
• Frequent lifting, bending, and reaching
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Moderate to heavy physical activity may be required
