Job summary

The GIANT Company in Halifax, PA is hiring for retail store positions within our Pennsylvania footprint. You will join a team that serves customers, shares ideas, learns new skills, and makes a difference for the store and community.

As a team member, you will review schedules, prep for duties, assemble and bake goods, stock shelves, maintain clean displays, and follow safety rules. Requirements include 18+ years, U.S. work authorization, and passing a 60-day probation.

• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.

• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must perform all job functions safely and meet the company performance standards, including regular attendance.
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
• 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred.
• Must complete the in-house forklift-training program (this is a job specific requirement).

Responsibilities

• Promptly, at the start of the shift, review the work schedule, check equipment and supplies, comply with PPE, and prepare for duties.
• Enter orders, schedule work and production, supervise and train team members, receive, store, and stock items, check dates, adjust pricing, and perform department tasks as needed.
• Assemble and mix ingredients, place mix on trays, bake goods.
• Package and wrap baked goods, print labels, label baked goods, clean display cases, and stock fresh goods.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors and counters.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enter orders, schedule work and production, supervise and train team members, receive, store, and stock items, check dates, change pricing of items going out of code, and does all department tasks as needed.
• Assemble and mix ingredients, place mix on trays, put trays in racks, push racks to oven, and bake goods.
• Package and wrap baked goods, print labels, label baked goods, clean display cases, and put fresh goods into cases.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, all tools and equipment, all display cases, and all floors and counters.
