Food Lion in Darlington, SC is seeking a Deli/Bakery HMS Department Associate to support store operations and help achieve financial and sales goals. Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager, supervising the duties and responsibilities of HMS Associates
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to meet productivity expectations
• Provide leadership and motivation to promote Food Lion's Brand Strategy and Culture
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results
• Maintain a cheerful, fast, flexible and friendly customer service atmosphere and a positive shopping experience
• Role model outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to offer solutions meeting customers' needs
• Control department expenses through proper ordering, care for supplies and equipment
• Understand and use company tools (financial reports, ACIS, scheduling, productivity, CAO, BIS)
• Ensure appearance, quality, safety and sanitation standards are consistently maintained
• Ensure HMS schedules provide extraordinary customer service and are written to cover demand
• Ensure proper ordering, receiving, preparation, and displaying of merchandise per policies
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions that could affect associates or customers

Support the management and duties of store operations to meet financial and sales goals. Build associate and customer relations and promote a strong culture in support of Food Lion Strategy. Maintain solid communications with the management team, all associates in the store and throughout the organization.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager, including supervising the performance of all duties and responsibilities of Deli Bakery HMS Associates
• Daily management of labor (i.e. expected live) and the coaching of associates to achieve productivity expectation
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to promote a culture reflective of our Brand Strategy and Culture
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results
• Smile and maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, easy, flexible and friendly customer service all while creating a positive shopping experience for customers
• Role model outstanding, friendly customer service and use skills and knowledge of department products to

offer solutions that meet or exceed customers' expectations

• Control store's expenses through proper ordering, care for supplies and equipment
• Understand and use company tools such as; financial reports, ACIS, scheduling, productivity, ordering (CAO), and business information systems. Understands and utilizes Average Cost Inventory System (ACIS)
• Perform duties that ensure department appearance, quality, variety, workplace safety, food safety and department sanitation are consistently maintained
• Ensure Deli Bakery HMS schedules are written to provide extraordinary customer service at all times, should create every other week
• Ensure that ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise is done in accordance with policies and guidelines
• Observe and correct all unsafe conditions that could cause associate or customer accidents
