Job summary

Florida State University Schools (FSUS) invites applications for a Long-Term Classroom Substitute. This is a full-time OPS temporary role located in Tallahassee, FL, covering the initial nine weeks of the fall semester with the potential to transition to on-call substitute status thereafter.

The role supports K-5 classrooms, assisting teachers and supervising students when needed. Requires a high school diploma and three professional references; a bachelor’s degree and Florida teaching

Responsibilities

Temporary, full-time Substitute Teacher needed for beginning of academic year. End of full-time service to be determined based on staffing levels. Anticipated to last the first 9 weeks of fall semester, which begins late July for teachers and August 10th for students. Pay rate during full-time service dependent on education or existing teacher credentials. Eligible to remain as on-call substitute as standard pay rate after full-time service is completed.

• Completes paperwork under the teacher's direction.
• May include other student supervisory duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to provide three professional references.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with experience working in a school setting.
• Florida Teaching Certificate.
