Job summary

Local Bounti is seeking a Food Safety Quality Technician to ensure final products meet specifications and adhere to good agricultural and manufacturing practices. The role includes inspecting incoming goods, conducting CCP checks, and verifying packaging and labeling aligns with standards.

Applicants should have a HS diploma, 3–5 years in food manufacturing preferred, and be able to work in a wet environment. Pay rate starts around $19/hour with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Job Summary:

The Food Safety Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that the final product meets all agreed upon specifications and has been grown and packed following our good agricultural and manufacturing practices.

Duties/Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The duties listed below are representative of the essential functions, qualifications, physical demands, and the work environment encountered in this position. • Incoming goods receipt and inspection
  • Check procured items as they are received into the facility to ensure nothing is compromised or out of spec. This includes substrate/soil, chemicals, growing inputs, packaging, etc. and value-added projects like chicken (where temp checks are critical).
• Pre-operation inspections
  • Document pre-operational inspection prior to the start of shifts.
• Preventative Control/Critical Control Point
  • Conduct hourly PC and CCP checks.
• Finished Product
  • Ensure the packaging, the product, and the labeling all line up appropriately.
  • Ensures that specifications are met on all fronts.
  • Documents these checks for FS and quality control records.
• Other duties as assignedespecially as they pertain to Food Safety/Quality Control and Assurance

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
• Produce production experience preferred
• 3 – 5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred
