Job summary

Foster Farms is hiring for an FSQA Tech Backup in Fresno, CA. This full-time, on-site role supports food safety and quality assurance across production lines. Day shifts require the ability to operate in both cold and hot environments and to lift up to 70 lbs.

The successful candidate will perform QA checks, maintain documentation, and ensure USDA compliance with a focus on preventing nonconforming product releases. Excellent English communication and a solid attendance record are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor process and perform routine QA checks. Record, print, interface with line supervision and production workforce on production and quality procedures.
• Maintain process and quality documentation, including internal audits with management participation.
• Perform pre-operational sanitation inspection in area assigned.
• Maintain current operation instructions and quality control procedures; provide input from the floor for updates.
• Perform, monitor and evaluate compliance with USDA regulations; has authority to hold nonconforming product and make disposition decisions.

Job Description

• Perform, monitor and evaluate compliance with USDA regulations other than those incorporated into daily routines. This position has the authority to hold product that does not conform to customer agreements, finished product specifications, or legal requirements and is also authorized to make decision regarding product disposition including release.
