Job summary

Growing San Diego Food Company seeks an experienced FSQA Manager to lead the QA department, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. The role integrates food safety, quality assurance, and quality control across the plant, with focus on SQF programs and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a related field and strong policy implementation experience.
• Proven track record in food manufacturing compliance (GMP, SSOP, HACCP, SQF).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related systems.
• 10–15 years QA leadership in food industry; USDA environment preferred.
• SQF Practitioner and HACCP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all SQF programs and maintain compliance with audits.
• Lead efforts to achieve SQF scores above 90%.
• Review and update HACCP plans to meet business needs.
• Maintain QA documentation library and be ready to present data.
• Ensure regulatory SSOP, GMP, HACCP, SQF compliance across plant.
• Establish specifications, standards, and procedures for QA.
• Develop training programs to support quality and safety goals.
• Support labeling compliance for new products.
• Maintain product specifications and certifications (Kosher, Halal, Organic, GMO, GF, USDA, FDA).
• Oversee 3rd shift sanitation and ensure proper sanitation of equipment/building.
• Coach and develop staff, manage discipline, and performance growth.
