Job summary

GPAC partners with a well-established pet food manufacturer to recruit a Corporate Food Safety & Quality Manager in Tioga County, New York. The role drives FSQ programs across multiple facilities, focusing on data analysis, regulatory compliance, supplier quality, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on food manufacturing experience in a cGMP setting and a strong understanding of FDA regulations, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate findings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or related field required.
• Hands-on experience in food manufacturing in a cGMP environment.
• Strong understanding of FDA food regulations.
• Experience with FSQ systems and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
• Experience analyzing FSQ data and presenting findings.
• Proficiency with MS Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Visio.
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead FSQ data analysis and drive measurable improvements across facilities.
• Oversee supplier quality, qualification and audits.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with FDA/FSMA and quality systems.
• Promote and build a strong FSQ culture throughout the manufacturing organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address root causes and CAPA.

Job description

Gpac is partnered with a well-established and growing pet food manufacturer seeking a Corporate Food Safety & Quality Manager in Tioaga County, New York to support Food Safety & Quality initiatives across multiple manufacturing facilities.

This is a corporate-level position with significant visibility and the opportunity to influence Food Safety & Quality programs across the organization. The role will focus on FSQ data analysis, supplier quality, regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, quality systems, and building a strong Food Safety & Quality culture throughout the manufacturing organization.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in food manufacturing within a cGMP environment, a strong understanding of FDA food regulations, and experience utilizing quality tools to identify problems, analyze trends, and drive measurable improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally climb stairs or ladders
• Frequent use of a computer and repetitive tasks
• Occasional lifting of food product cases/bundles up to 55 lbs.
