The role requires a meat science or related degree with 2–5 years in meat/pork, plus deep knowledge of FSQA, HACCP, SSOPs, and GMPs. Strong communication and regulatory understanding are essential.
We have an exciting FSQA Harvest Specialistopportunity.The FSQA Harvest Specialist is responsible for the evaluation of carcasses in a fresh pork facility harvesting over 20,500 animals per day. The position works closely with USDA inspectors to assess findings and disposition carcasses with pathological concerns.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to hot, cold and/or humid conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and is frequently exposed to animal waste and animal dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, requiring hearing protection in all protection areas.
