Job summary

Cotecna is seeking experienced FSC Lead Auditors to support certification and audit projects in Missouri. The role requires either a tertiary education with at least 2 years of experience in the forest products sector, or secondary education with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Key responsibilities include planning and conducting audits, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with standards. Certifications in ISO 9001 and FSC are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the forest products sector with a college/university degree.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience with secondary education.
• Exposure to certification schemes such as SFI, PEFC, RSPO, MSC, UTZ.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare audits, confirming availability and independence.
• Conduct audits at participating sites and manage audit teams if applicable.
• Prepare audit reports including non-conformity findings.

Qualifications & Experience

• Tertiary education (college/university) with minimum 2 years of experience in the forest products sector, OR
• Secondary education (high school) with minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience
• Registered in the FSC Auditor & Training Registry (mandatory)

Additional Experience

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (IRCA / Exemplar Global or equivalent)
• Experience in Chain of Custody (CoC) auditing
• Exposure to certification schemes such as SFI, PEFC, RSPO, MSC, UTZ

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare audits, including confirming availability and independence
• Conduct audits at participating sites and manage audit teams (if applicable)
• Prepare audit reports, including non-conformity findings
• Follow up on audit findings and ensure timely closure
• Submit audit documentation in line with deadlines
• Ensure compliance with FSC, ASI, and internal procedures
