Job summary

ADP, Inc. seeks a Fruit Cutter Specialist to prepare fresh cut fruit for retail in Freshly Go locations nationwide. You will operate the fruit and vegetable stations under AFC Corporate management, ensuring high quality, safe, and attractive product presentation. Training includes a 1-week orientation at a designated location.

The role is temporary full-time and driven by business needs and assignment availability, with responsibilities across prep, safety, labeling, and merchandising.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in food prep, produce, or grocery is a plus.
• Basic food safety knowledge and sanitation practices.
• Ability to safely use knives and prep tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, cut, slice, and package fresh fruit according to recipes and standards.
• Ensure products meet freshness and appearance standards.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines including handwashing and gloves.
• Label, date, rotate, and store products properly.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work areas and equipment.
• Safely operate knives and cutting tools and prep equipment.
• Stock and organize merchandising stations for a full appearance.
• Prepare fruit/vegetables for sale and promote samples daily.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and health regulations.
• Maintain a Food Handler Certification; perform other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

The Fruit Cutter Specialistis assigned in various Freshly Go store locations around the nation. Responsibilities include operating the Fruit and Vegetable stations in stores which are under AFC Corporate management until assignment ends. This role will prepare fresh, high-quality cut fruit for retail sale while maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and presentation standards. Training will be provided during a 1-week orientation at a designated location. The role is temporary full-time status and work is based on business operational needs and assignment availability.

Job Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, cut, slice, and package fresh fruit according to company recipes and portion standards.
• Ensure all products meet freshness, quality, and appearance standards.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (e.g., proper handwashing, glove use, temperature control).
• Properly label, date, and rotate product using standard procedures to ensure quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area, including equipment and prep surfaces.
• Safely operate knives, cutting tools, and food preparation equipment.
• Stock and organize the merchandising stations so they look full.
• Prepare and cut fruit/vegetables to have ready to sell.
• Promote fruit/vegetables by sampling daily.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and health regulations.
• Maintain an active Food Handler Certification.

Qualifications & Skills
