Job summary

Nautique Boat Company is seeking a Laminator to apply and roll initial layers of fiberglass and resin to hulls and decks. The role involves using rollers, guns, and hand tools to lay up FRP while ensuring quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include identifying laminating targets, minimizing air bubbles, light sanding, and potential cross-training within the department. This is a non-exempt, on-site position requiring adherence to OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work effectively individually or with a team.
  • Be able to use and maintain a variety of hand tools.
  • Some knowledge of FRP and composites.
  • Be able to complete basic installations.
  • Knowledge of production processes and quality control.

Responsibilities

  • Identify hulls and decks to be laminated.
  • Use rollers, brushes, and fiberglass guns.
  • Eliminate bubbles in fiberglass after application.
  • Perform light sanding and grinding as needed.
  • Cross-train within the department as required.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Follow manager/supervisor/lead instructions.
  • Inspect parts for quality and completeness.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.
  • Follow OSHA and safety procedures.
