Job description

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Achieve sales and profit goals for the department, and monitor and control all quality assurance standards. Direct and supervise all functions, duties, and activities for the department. Support the day-to-day operations of the Frozen Foods department. Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Management experience
  • Retail experience
  • Second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing)

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Promoting trust and respect among associates
  • Communicating company, department, and job-specific information to associates
  • Collaborating with associates and promoting teamwork to achieve company/store goals
  • Establishing performance goals and empowering associates to meet or exceed targets
  • Developing schedules to manage customer volume
  • Training and developing associates and participating in performance appraisals
  • Adhering to all laws and company guidelines
  • Creating a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions, and providing product suggestions
  • Maintaining knowledge of products and current promotions
  • Creating and executing sales promotions in partnership with store management
  • Preparing seasonal critiques and staying current with advertising
  • Assisting in budget and financial reviews
  • Monitoring inventory and stocking conditions
  • Managing price changes and inventory processes
  • Training staff on inventory management and computer-assisted ordering
  • Adhering to food safety regulations
  • Reporting safety risks, illegal activities, theft, or fraud
  • Performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations
