Kroger in Locust Grove, GA is seeking a store associate to deliver exceptional customer service and help maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will assist the department manager with sales goals, answer customer questions, and stock/label department merchandise.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, with strong communication skills and basic math abilities. Retail experience and multilingual abilities are a plus, and compliance with all safety regulations is required.

Responsabilités

• Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department.
• Answer questions regarding products and assist customers about items in the department and store.
• Gain knowledge of products sold and respond to questions with product suggestions.
• Inform customers of frozen food specials and recommend items accordingly.
• Check product quality and review sell by dates for freshness.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with ads and promotions, including seasonal and special offers.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers.
• Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions or incidents to management.
• Inspect equipment and report items needing repair; notify store management as needed.
• Report all safety risks or issues, including theft or fraud.

• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products.
• Inform customers of frozen food specials.
• Recommend frozen food items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need.
• Check product quality to ensure freshness. Review "sell by" dates and take appropriate action.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
• Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
