Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) is seeking a store associate to maintain stock levels in the frozen and dairy departments and support customer service initiatives. You will operate pallet jacks, rotate dated product, and assist customers with questions and price checks in a fast-paced retail setting.

Essential duties include stocking, quality control, and promoting sales while ensuring a clean and safe shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age required to operate equipment.
• 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business per policy.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Typically involves on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full stock conditions on frozen food and dairy display racks.
• Operate pallet jack to unload product from warehouse trucks and reload trucks with return items.
• Ensure dated product is stocked, rotated, or discarded properly if unsold.
• Inspect product quality and maintain quality control and food safety standards.
• Assist fellow partners and customers by responding to price check questions and locating product.
• Promote product sales through suggestive selling initiatives.
• Provide friendly, customer service-oriented attitude by greeting customers and addressing questions and complaints.
• Maintain a clean, safe and sanitary environment by following company procedures.
