Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver excellent customer service, share product knowledge, and maintain appealing displays in our Fresh departments.

You will stock and merchandise across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery, ensuring safety and quality standards are met in a fast-paced store. The role emphasizes customer-first interactions, active listening, and the ability to work across departments.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or food service is helpful but not required.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to follow processes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service with product knowledge and a friendly attitude.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
