Shaw’s and Star Market is seeking a reliable Frozen Department Clerk to stock and rotate frozen products, check for freshness, and maintain appealing displays. You will assist customers with friendly service, help manage inventory, and ensure the department stays neat and efficient even in busy periods.

The role requires attention to detail and comfort working in a cold environment, with opportunities to support backroom and outdoor areas and contribute to a smooth, fast-paced department

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
• Prior retail, stocking, or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment such as pallet jacks, balers, and box cutters following training and safety guidelines.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What You Bring To The Table

• Customer Interaction Skills: Clear, helpful communication when assisting customers and answering questions
• Stocking & Merchandising: Experience placing products on shelves, facing items, and maintaining display standards
• Product Knowledge: Familiarity with store layout, pricing, and general merchandise across departments
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in pricing, labeling, product rotation, and removing outdated items
• Organization & Time Management: Managing multiple tasks while maintaining clean, organized work areas
• Inventory Awareness: Monitoring product levels and assisting with restocking and ordering processes
• Equipment Use: Handling tools such as pallet jacks, box cutters, or handheld devices following safety guidelines
• Adaptability: Comfort moving between tasks, departments, and priorities throughout the shift
• Physical Capability: Comfort with standing and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 60 lbs., and working in varying environments including backroom and outdoor areas

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older (18 years of age or older, depending on role requirements)
• Prior retail, stocking, or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to operate equipment such as pallet jacks, balers, and box cutters following training and safety guidelines
• Basic math and communication skills required
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Compliance with company policies including safety, sanitation, and dress standards
